The World’s first monument dedicated to enema treatments – “three angel-like children carrying above their heads a big syringe bulb” has been unveiled at a health center in the southern Russian town of Zheleznovodsk.

Alexander Kharchenko told press “There is no kitch or obscenity, it is a successful work of art. An enema is almost a symbol of our region.

The Caucasus Mountains region is known for having tons of spas where enemas with natural spring water are routinely administered to treat digestive and other complaints.

The Bronze 800 lb monument cost 42 thousand dollars and was installed in the front of Kharchenko’s spa on Wednesday June 18th 2008! A banner declaring: “Let’s beat constipation and sloppiness with enemas!”

The designer Svetlana Avakina claimed she designed the 5 foot high monument with “irony and humor” and modeled the angels on those in works by Italian Renaissance painter Alessandro Botticellie.

I think I found my next vacation spot. Take a look at the young beautiful enema nurses that actually work in Kharchenko’s Spa, Mashuk Akva.
